I am so glad that Amanda Palmer loves her Ukele. Why? Because I have had this ukele article on the instrument’s emerging new popularity that I’ve been wanting to share with you all forever, but had no way of tying it in to anything else. So here comes Amanda Palmer, I think the hardest working musician in the biz today, she has put out an Evelyn Evelyn album this year and now she’s coming out with a Ukele Cover Album of Radiohead songs. Here’s a tune. The album is released July 17.

I don’t know what it is about me lately, but I’m all about books this summer. When life seems a little tried and pointless, I find myself seeking out meaning in books. So here’s yet another list of good summer reads and, just for the hell of it, here’s another list of the best albums of 2010 so far from Spin Magazine.

We’re at the half point in the year, so inevitably, there’s going to be best music so far lists.
