My list of Coolness Blog

Been hearing about this one for months because one of the guest vocalists is Tori Amos, she joins Cyndi Lauper in a track on this new album from David Byrne and Fatboy Slim that “tells the story of Philippine First Lady Imelda Marcos and her rise to prominence.” Yikes…There are tons of other guest vocalists. {March 22, 2010}   Streaming Albums + SXSW cool

Hey SXSW is over! So hopefully this will be the last time I mention it. But first up some albums streaming on the internet this week:

  • Spinner’s got many albums. Some of note include the new material and a classic album reissue from the departed Elliot Smith. Hear Roman Candle and From a Basement on a Hill and a Jenny Owens Young EP.

And I thought it be interesting to share some bands I’ve heard good things about from SXSW:

{March 16, 2010}   Random News for the sick girl

I’m not feeling well and getting worse by the moment irrespective of OJ guzzling. So I don’t have enough energy to think about which of these items I want to post about, therefore, I’m putting them all in one.

Here we go:

I can’t believe I’ve never seen Zane Lamprey’s cult hit TV show Three Sheets, which is all about drinking! It airs weeknights at 10pm (will check it out tonight!) on the Fine Living Network. You can also watch full episodes on Hulu. Out today is his new book Three Sheets: Drinking Made Easy! 6 Continents, 15 Countries, 190 Drinks, and 1 Mean Hangover! about what else drinking.

I’m feeling a little under the weather today, so I’ve been slowly adding new releases to the Amazon links page…more to come as I feel better.
